NOTE :
In some cases, it may be necessary to retract the cal-
iper piston in its bore a small amount in order to pro-
vide sufficient clearance between the pads and the
rotor.
4. Remove the front brake hose (2) from the front
brake caliper.
(Tighten: Front caliper brake hose nut to 16 ± 3
N·m)
NOTE: The brake liquid is one toxic liquid. Do not
splash the brake liquid to the clothes or skin during
the removal of the brake hose.
5. Remove the front caliper guide bolts (1).
(Tighten: Front caliper guide bolts to 23 N·m)
6. If necessary, remove the brake caliper bracket
mounting bolts (3).
7. Remove the brake pads.
8. Slide the front brake caliper from the disc brake
adapter bracket and remove.
9. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Installation Notes:
• Completely retract the caliper piston back into the bore of the caliper.
• After installation bleed the caliper as necessary.
