CHECK UPSTREAM O
• Turn ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the upstream O
connector.
• Inspect the electrical connector for damage.
Is the electrical connector OK?
Yes >>
Go to the next step.
No >>
Repair or replace the electrical connector
as necessary.
5.
CHECK UPSTREAM O
• Disconnect the ECM electrical connector.
• Check the continuity between the following terminals:
COMPONENT
TERMINAL
• Continuity should exist.
• Check harness for a short to ground.
Is the check result normal?
Yes >>
Go to the next step.
No >>
Repair or replace the circuit for an open or short to ground in harness or connectors.
6.
CHECK THE MAP OR MAF SENSOR SIGNAL
• Check MAP signal in data stream and review the following data:
