DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
• Check the following for a possible malfunction:
− Harness connectors E-702, C-100
− Harness for an open or short between APPS1 and ECM
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
Replace the ECM.
NOTE : The Immobilizer control module must be matched to the new ECM (See ECM Removal & Instal-
lation in Section 03 Electronic Engine Controls).
No
>>
Repair or replace the open or short circuit in harness or connectors.

CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR 2 (APPS2) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
• Check the voltage between APPS2 terminal 3 and
ground in the APPS2 electrical connector C-301,
terminal side.
• Approximately 5 V should exist.
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
Go to step 7.
No
>>
Go to the next step.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
• Check the following for a possible malfunction:
− Harness connectors E-702, C-100
− Harness for open or short between APPS2 and ECM
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
Replace the ECM.

No

Repair or replace the open or short circuit in harness or connectors.
7.
CHECK TPS POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
• Check harness for short to power and short to ground between the following terminals:
