7.
CHECK THE CLUTCH
• Disassemble and inspect the clutch.
• Check the clutch surface for wearing (See Clutch and Pressure Plate Removal & Installation in Section 08
Transaxle).
• Check for a chipped and damaged signal ring for the clutch.
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
Go to the next step.
No
>>
Replace the clutch and perform the self learning process for clutch engagement points and gears.
Monitor the clutch speed sensor signal on the oscilloscope.
If the signal pulse is not normal, go to the next step.
8.
CHECK THE CLUTCH SHAFT
• Check the clutch during the specific operating condition (such as shifting from 1st gear to reverse gear, and
shifting from reverse gear to neutral gear).
• This condition would lead to a difference in speed between the engine speed and clutch speed.
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
Go to the next step.
No
>>
Re-flash the AMT control module with the latest version (the purpose is to increase the judgment
threshold value).
9.
CHECK DTC
• With the X-431 scan tool, read AMT control module DTCs.
• Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure .
Is the check result normal?
Yes
>>
The system is now operating properly.
Reassemble the vehicle and road test to verify the customers complaint is repaired.
No
>>
Replace the AMT control module (See AMT Control Module Removal & Installation in Section 08
Transaxle).
