Installation procedures

3.5.1 Mount the transmitter
For dimensional drawing information refer to the Dimensional Drawings section of the
Rosemount 3051
Process flange orientation
Complete the following steps to mount the process flanges.
Procedure
1. Mount the process flanges with sufficient clearance for process connections.
2. For safety reasons, place the drain/vent valves so the process fluid is directed away
Housing rotation
To improve field access to wiring or to better view the optional LCD display:
Procedure
1. Loosen the housing rotation set screw using a 5/64-in. hex wrench.
2. Turn the housing left or right up to a maximum of 180 ° from its original position.
3. Re-tighten the housing rotation set screw to a maximum of 7 in-lb when desired

Most transmitters are calibrated in the horizontal position. Mounting the
