Definition
Fault codes of the type xx,xxx.4x are device fault codes
and represent a problem with printer hardware.
Fault codes of the type xx,xx.6x are program fault codes
representing a software problem and not a printer
hardware problem.
These are faults associated with the optional 525 sheet
high-capacity feeder hardware.
Tray 3 525 sheet feeder had an overcurrent condition,
most likely a short to the lift motor or clutch.
1. Inspect the pick rollers for proper movement. If the
rollers are damaged or stuck replace the 525 sheet
feeder.
2. Use diagnostic test 50 to test the tray 3 clutch current
draw. If out of spec, replace 525 sheet feeder.
3. Use diagnostics to test the tray 3 lift motor. If out of
spec, replace 525 sheet feeder.
4. Unknown problem? Replace 525 sheet feeder.
Tray 4 525 sheet feeder had an overcurrent condition,
possibly a short in the motor or clutch.
1. Inspect the pick rollers for proper movement. If the
rollers are damaged or stuck replace the 525 sheet
feeder.
2. Use diagnostic test 49 to test the tray 4 clutch current
draw. If out of spec, replace 525 sheet feeder.
3. Use diagnostics to test the tray 4 lift motor. If out of
spec, replace 525 sheet feeder.
4. Unknown problem? Replace 525 sheet feeder.
These faults are associated with the 525 sheet feeder
software.
The engine cannot detect the presence of the right I/O
board. Ensure the connections are sound.
Failed to initialize ECM hardware and control structures.
