Jam Code Troubleshooting Procedures
D2Q Exit flag tripped unexpectedly following Tray 1 Pick
The exit flag actuated unexpectedly when paper picked from Tray 1
1. Ensure ground planes and ground straps are intact.
2. Run the diagnostic Sensors test to test the exit sensor.
3. Run the diagnostic Paper Lead Edge Times test.
D2Q Exit flag tripped unexpectedly during duplexing
The exit flag actuated unexpectedly when duplexing.
1. Ensure ground planes and ground straps are intact.
2. Run the diagnostic Sensors test to test the exit sensor.
3. Run the diagnostic Paper Lead Edge Times test.
D3M Exit flag timed out following Tray 2 Pick
The exit flag timed out when paper picked from Tray 2.
1. Inspect the exit path for obstructions.
2. Inspect and clean the exit roller.
3. Run the diagnostic Paper Path Drive test. Ensure the exit roller rotates.
D3N Exit flag timed out following Tray 3 Pick
The exit flag timed out when paper picked from Tray 3.
1. Inspect the exit path for obstructions.
2. Inspect and clean the exit roller.
3. Run the diagnostic Paper Path Drive test. Ensure the exit roller rotates.

1. Examine the Tray 1 width guides for proper movement.
2. Run the diagnostic Sensors test.
3. Inspect the Tray 1 wiring to the I/O Board.
4. Replace the I/O Board, then retest.
5. Replace the Electronics Module.
