designed to give you years of
trouble-free use, however it can
malfunction if exposed to mois -
ture or static electricity. If you are
unsure how to use or replace the
battery, Kia recommends to con -
tact an authorised Kia dealer/ser -
vice partner.
Using the wrong battery can
cause the remote key or smart
key to malfunction. Be sure to use
the correct battery.
To avoid damaging the remote
key or smart key, don't drop it,
get it wet, or expose it to heat or
sunlight.
CAUTION
An inappropriately dis -
posed battery can be
harmful to the environ -
ment and human health.
Dispose the battery according to
your local law(s) or regulation.

With a remote key, you can lock or
unlock the door and trunk/tailgate.

Lock (1)
All doors are locked if the lock but -
ton is pressed whilst all doors are
closed.
The hazard warning lights will blink
once to indicate that all doors are
locked.
