LED HEADLIGHT / TAIL LIGHT

LED HEADLIGHT OVERVIEW

Do not look directly into the headlight assembly when
illuminated. View LEDs from the sides of the lens.
The LED headlight is a sealed assembly and not
serviceable. The assembly is comprised of a left and
right circuit board located on the top of the housing. A
heat sink / wire connector piece is attached to the circuit
boards.
Both the left and right circuit boards use 7 LEDs – 3 for
low beam and an additional 4 for high beam.
The low beam LEDs are powered by the RD/WH DC
Chassis circuit and are always on. When the driver
pushes the high beam button on the left hand control, the
high beam switch is closed and power from the load shed
relay (RD/DB) circuit is connected to the YE/RD high
beam circuit. This action illuminates the high beam LEDs
in the headlight.
NOTICE
The high beam LEDs and instrument cluster indicator
will only illuminate when the high beam button is
pushed and the load shed relay is closed.
Reference the above image when determining if all of the
LEDs are illuminating and when each set receives power.
If an LED is not illuminating, replace the headlight
assembly.

LED HEADLIGHT SERVICE

1. Remove the hood from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the wire harness connector
3. Loosen the headlight adjuster knob
spring pressure. Remove the T-screw from the
headlight bracket.
4. Slide the housing to the far left or right. Remove the

mount pin from the tab on the opposite side.
5. Reverse the steps to reinstall the assembly.
