Parktronic*
Problem
Only the red segments in the Parktronic
warning displays are lit.
You also hear a warning tone that lasts for
approximately three seconds.
Parktronic switches off after approximate-
ly 30 seconds and the indicator lamp in
the Parktronic button lights up.

Parktronic switches off after 20 seconds.
Possible cause/consequence
Parktronic has malfunctioned and has
switched itself off.
The Parktronic sensors are dirty or there is
interference.
There may be interference from an exter-
nal source of radio or ultrasonic waves.

Have the Parktronic checked as soon as
possible at a qualified specialist work-
shop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre.
Clean the Parktronic sensors
( page 269).
Switch on the ignition again.
