Indicator and warning lamps in the
instrument cluster
Problem

The yellow ESP warning lamp
lights up while the engine is run-
ning.
v
The yellow ESP warning lamp
flashes while you are driving.

Possible cause
ESP is deactivated.
ESP or traction control is active because at
least one of the wheels has reached its tyre
grip limit. Distronic* is deactivated.
Suggested solutions
Reactivate ESP ( page 71).
Adapt your driving style to suit the
current road and weather conditions.
