Selecting Distronic
1 LIM indicator lamp
2 To select Distronic
Check whether Distronic is selected.
LIM indicator lamp 1 must not be lit.
Otherwise, press the cruise control
lever in the direction of arrow 2.
LIM indicator lamp 1 in the cruise
control lever goes out. Distronic is
selected.
Activating Distronic
You can activate Distronic if:
you are driving at a speed between
30 km/h and 180 km/h
ESP is activated ( page 71)
If Distronic is not activated after the
cruise control lever is pressed, the
message will appear
Distronic --– km/h.
in the multi-function display.
You cannot activate Distronic in the follow-
ing circumstances:
Up to two minutes after the engine is
started
When braking
If you have applied the parking brake
On vehicles with automatic transmission:
When the selector lever is in position P,
R or N
