Problem

The yellow engine diagnostic in-
dicator lamp lights up while you
are driving.

The yellow roll-over bar warning
lamp lights up or flickers when
the engine is switched on.
Possible cause
There is a malfunction:
in the engine management system
in the fuel injection system
in the ignition system, or
in the exhaust system
The emission limit values may be exceeded
and the engine may be running in emergency
mode.
The fuel tank has run dry.
The roll-over bar release system is faulty.

Suggested solutions
Have the vehicle checked as soon as
possible at a qualified specialist work-
shop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre.
Start the engine three to four times
after refuelling.
Emergency mode is cancelled. You
do not need to have your vehicle
checked.
Release the roll-over bars manually
and have them checked immediately
at a qualified specialist workshop, e.g.
a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.

accident.
