Install the front I/O expansion board module
Follow instructions in this section to install the front I/O expansion board module.
About this task
Attention:
• Read "Installation Guidelines" on page 121 and "Safety inspection checklist" on page 122 to ensure that
you work safely.
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the drive to any unpainted metal surface on the server;
then, remove the drive from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure
Step 1.
Install the front I/O expansion board module.
a.
Push the release latch on the cross bar.
b.
Hold the module at an angle, and insert the two guide pins on system board into the guide
holes on the module.
c.
Lower the module into the chassis.
