Drive Belt Replacement

This procedure provides instruction to remove and install the Drive Belt

Procedure

Review entire procedure before starting.
Removal
1. Switch the power OFF and
2. Remove the hood cover, see .
3. Use a 1/4" hex key socket and ratchet to relax the running belt tension by alternately
loosening the left and right belt tension adjustment bolts in 1/4 turn increments. Use
this method to evenly remove the left and right belt tension. Do not use power tools
which can make it difficult to control the left/right 1/4 turn incremental bolt loosening
requirment. Uneven belt tension removal can cause damage to the running belt or ten-
sion adjustment hardware.
CAUTION: Only use hand tools to adjust tension. Power tools can easily over
and/or under tension causing damage to the belt and/or tension hardware mech-
anism.
4. Use a 1/2" socket with 6" extension to loosen the four Drive Motor mount bolts
enough so that the motor can slide forward and rearward in the mounting tray.
5. Loosen the 1/2" drive belt tension adjustment bolt to remove the drive belt tension.
Then walk the belt off the drive motor pulley.
6. Lift the drive roller from the frame mounting brackets and remove the belt off the drive
roller pulley. Remove the drive motor belt and reinstall the roller into the frame mount-
ing brackets.
Installation
1. Lift the drive roller from the frame mounting brackets enough to install the belt onto
the drive roller pulley. Reinstall the drive roller into the frame left and rignt mounting
