5. Lay the replacement lift motor on the floor in front of the treadmill and connect the lift
motor two cable connectors to the J1 & J7 LPCA connectors.
6. Calibrate the lift motor, see
7. Disconnect the lift motor cable connectors from the LPCA and switch the power OFF.
8. Set the treadmill on either its left or right side as convenient.
9. Remove the extension tube hitch pin, clevis pin, and nylon spacers (2) fastener hard-
ware from the lift platform mounting bracket. Hold the lift motor and remove the lift
motor actuator housing mount hitch pin and clevis pin hardware from the frame pan
mounting bracket. Remove the lift motor from the treadmill.
10. Install the replacement calibrated lift motor. Insert the actuator mount into the frame
mounting bracket and secure using the clevis pin and hitch pin.
11. Next install the extension tube into the lift platform bracket and secure using the nylon
spacers (2), clevis pin, and hitch pin hardware. It may be necessary to slightly rotate
the extension tube to align the clevis pin mounting holes so that the clevis pin can be
inserted. Rotate the tube in the direction that will cause the least amount of rotation
(least amount of to the jackscrew extension distance).
12. Route the lift motor cables to the LPCA.
LPCA J1 & J7.
13. Return the machine to the normal upright position on the floor. Make sure the
machine is setting level and stable.
14. Reinstall the hood cover.
15. Plug in the machine power cord and switch the power "ON"..
16.  Start a manual test and operate the INCLINE motion controls from minimum to max-
imum range while verifying the machine operation:
Make sure that the console INCLINE paddle control operation is smooth and
l
working correctly.
Verify that the running deck can reach the +15% maximum incline and then
l
return to the -2% minimum incline level.
Verify that the lift motor operation is smooth while changing the INCLINE from
l
minimum to maximum levels.
Verify that the console INCLINE level indicators and user workout displays are
l
showing correct information.
