6. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and set the treadmill circuit breaker to "ON".
7. Access hardware validation diagnostics service menu (RESET > 5651565) and
select the Machine Tests > Incline Test.
8. Use the incline control to set the A/D number to 36 (0% incline).
CAUTION: Insert Snipet > While running the lift motor in the diagnostics mode it is
possible to operate the lift motor beyond its normal range of motion. When you per-
form the next step, care must be taken not to jam the lift tube against the motor
frame.
