Injector testing

Do not test injectors with excessively high return quan-
tities. There is a risk of wrong measurements being
made on the other injectors. Remove faulty injectors
and seal free high-pressure terminal on common rail.

Test injectors when in automatic sequence only.

If a high-pressure hose connection is leaking, the
screw connection is not to be re-tightened. In the
event of a leak, unfasten the connection, clean the
sealing surface and re-connect the high-pressure hose.
Information on commercial-vehicle injector testing
Commercial-vehicle injector testing starts with the "Leak-
age test" test step. For this reason before starting the
test the injection chamber must be removed.

Calling up test sequence

1. In the "Component selection" dialog window call up
the "Database" selection menu using <F2>.
2. Select the "CD TestData" dialog window and call up
with <F12>.
3. Select desired injector test sequence and call up
with <F12>.

selection" dialog window.

Starting test

1. In the "Component selection" dialog window call up
the measuring image with <F12>.
 The "Caution" dialog window appears with a refer-
ence to the maximum speed. Confirm with <F12>.
 The "Measuring image" dialog window appears.
2. Call up "Protocol" selection menu using <F2>.
3. Choose "Select test step" menu option using <F12>.
4. In the "Test step selection" dialog window choose
test step number 1.
5. Accept test step with <F12>.
6. Call up "Protocol" selection menu using <F2>.
7. Select "Restart test" menu option with <F12>.
8. Call up "Measurement functions" selection menu
with <F7>.
9. Select "Settings" menu option with <F12>.
 The "Settings" dialog window appears.
10. Activate the connected injectors in the Injector
input field.
11. Set measurement channels with <F4>.
12. In the "Serial number" input field enter the injector
serial number.
