The system administrator is required to assist the operator
when the E100–199 and E200–299 series error messages
and error code listings indicate that host control is required.
Also, the system administrator is required to perform the
actions suggested by the accompanying error message(s)
when the E600–999 error messages are displayed; utilize
the + (Plus) key to display the accompanying error
message(s). Listed below are the accompanying error
messages that may or will be displayed with the E600–999
error messages:
• The accompanying error message "E234 Press JOG To
Remove Docs" may be displayed; before performing the
controlled power-down sequence, press the Jog key until
all documents in the transport system are deposited in the
Exit Hopper.
• The accompanying error message "E235 Controlled
Power-Down Reqrd" will be displayed; perform the
controlled power-down as described in the section entitled
Controlled power-down sequence .
• The accompanying error message "E298 Calibration
Required" may be displayed; after performing the
controlled power-down sequence, press the Cal key to
perform the calibration process.
Furthermore, the system administrator is required to contact
a service representative when:
• the initial error recovery has been performed but the error
message persists
• the initial error recovery has no effect on the error
message or status
• an indicated accessory must be replaced.
