OPERATION

Archive Operation

Each archive operation is accessed through the Archive Options
screen.
NOTE: Archive operation is only available if an optional tape
drive is installed.
NOTE: You must possess the appropriate privilege to access any
archive option.
NOTE: The total disk storage capacity of the Intellex exceeds the
capacity of a tape cartridge. If archiving of image data is
desired, start the archiving process BEFORE the
database becomes full to prevent possible loss of data.
To access any of the archive options, click the Archive button on the
main screen. The Archive Options screen appears.
Back up images to tape — Click to back up the image database to
a backup tape (see
Back Up the Image Database
background archiving, this option reads Stop image backup.
Restore images from tape — Click to copy images from a backup
tape to the system (see
these images can be reviewed. During background archiving, this
option is disabled.
Play restored images — Click to review images that were copied
from a backup tape to the system (see
page 163).
Format tape — Click to format an archive tape (see
page 164). During background archiving, this option is disabled.
Recover data from tape — Click to recover data from a tape (see
Recover Data from Tape
this option is disabled.
Reset Archive Flags — Click to make all files in the database
available to archive.
Click Close to close the Archive Options screen and return to the
main screen. Click Help to display online help for this screen.
