Xerox Document Centre System Administration Guide
NetWare (IPX/SPX) Troubleshooting
1.
Fax a document from the Document Centre. Observe the fax
repository directory to watch for documents that have been
faxed. If documents are able to reach this directory, the FAX
server should be checked to make sure the path for the
repository is set correctly. Consult the FAX server
documentation for details on how to configure this
Workserver.
2.
Verify that NetWare is set in the Fax Repository Settings
screen of the Document Centre Tools pathway.
3.
Verify that the Login and Password shown in the Fax
Repository Settings screen of the Document Centre Tools
pathway are correct (these are CASE SENSITIVE).
4.
Verify that the Path entry is correct in the Fax Repository
Settings screen of the Document Centre Tools pathway.
5.
Verify that the Server Name entry is correct in the Server
and Volume screen of the Document Centre Tools pathway.
6.
Verify that the Server Volume entry is correct in the Server
and Volume screen of the Document Centre Tools pathway.
7.
For NetWare 4.X, 5.X ONLY, verify that the NDS Context
entry is correct in the NDS Settings screen of the Document
Centre Tools pathway.
8.
For NetWare 4.X, 5.X ONLY, verify that the NDS Tree entry
is correct in the NDS Settings screen of the Document Centre
Tools pathway.
9.
From a workstation on the network, login to the fax repository
server with the Login Name and Password specified for your
Document Centre. Verify that you are in the correct directory
and if not, modify the user settings with SYSCON or
NWADMIN to include the correct volume, path, and
directory.
10.
Create a directory in the path. If you cannot create a
directory, modify the user settings with SYSCON or
NWADMIN to grant rights to the correct volume, path, and
directory.
