7.11.3 Checking the Waste Toner Box

To prevent leakage of waste toner from the waste toner box or to prevent overloading the
waste toner feedscrew, the machine is equipped with a waste toner detection mechanism.
The waste toner box can hold about 2043 cc of toner, and the machine identifies the waste
toner box as being full when there is about 1766 cc of toner or when the toner comes to
weigh about 1050 g.
When the weight of waste toner increases, the waste toner case itself lowers on its own, thus
causing the machine to assume that the case has become full.
