REMOVAL

• Remove the rear wheel. (8-46)
• Remove the rear shock absorber nuts (lower) 1 and wash-
ers.
• Remove the rear brake light switch spring 2.
• Remove the swingarm pivot nut 3 and washer.
• Draw out the swingarm pivot shaft and remove the swingarm
assembly 4.
• Remove the engine sprocket cover 5 and drive chain 6, if
necessary.
• Remove the torque link 7.
