8. SElTING PARAMETER BLOCKS

Setting parameter block data
The Parameter Block Setting screen displays the previous set-
tings (or default setting) in the data setting column. Set the
necessary data following the steps below.
(a) Set the parameter block data with the A70MDF keys.
(b) Move the cursor to the item for which data should be set with
an [Arrow] key.

(c) Set the data within the range indicated in the
SETTING UNIT
The units and setting range displayed in this column vary
depending on the units (mm, inches, degrees, pulses) set for
the fixed parameter INTERPOLATION CONTROL UNIT.
(d) The keyed-in data is displayed in the KEY IN DATA column;
it
is transferred to the SETTING DATA column when the [CR]
key is pressed.
If the keyed-in data is outside the setting range, the
'SETTING
ERROR" message is displayed. If this message is displayed,
correct the data.
(e) After setting all of the necessary data, press the
[F8] key to
conduct the cross-check.

Cross-checking parameter block data
(a) The 'NO ERROR' message is displayed in the message area
if there is no error found in the cross-check.
(b) If an error is found in the cross-check, the letter
'E'
is dis-
played to the left of the item number. Move the cursor to that
number by pressing an [Arrow] key and correct the data.
(c) After correcting the data, execute the cross-check again.
