7.30.4.1

SINAMICS access protection

The complete access protection in the web server comprises 3 components:
● SINAMICS write protection (Page 973) and know-how protection (Page 976)
The specified settings of the write and know-how protection - including password
protection - also apply for access via the web server to the drive parameters and
configuration. The Web server cannot be used to bypass this protection.
An OEM exception list specifies which parameters can also be displayed in the web
server, in spite of activated know-how protection.
If access is not possible because of these settings, a corresponding message text is
displayed on the Web pages.
● Web server access protection (Page 437)
The Web server access protection can be used to limit access to the users
"administrator" and/or "SINAMICS" with the corresponding rights.
It is recommended to use a secure password for both logins.
● Access protection for parameter lists in the web server (Page 439)
Access rights to parameter lists in the Web server can be defined by the "Administrator"
user for each parameter list.
For safety reasons, the user "administrator" should never give the user "SINAMICS" the
"write" and "change list" rights for the same parameter list at the same time. Otherwise,
the user "SINAMICS" would be able to change any chosen parameter to access
levels 1-3.
