This chapter provides information about line modules, SRP modules, and I/O
modules available for E-series routers. All line modules, with the exception of the
IPSec Service and Tunnel Service module, combine with I/O modules to provide
particular capabilities and connections.
In this chapter, the term module assembly is used to describe the

I/O module label, and software release compatibility.
The table lists the first software release that each module and its corresponding I/O
modules support. If a module has been deprecated, the final software release that
supports the module is listed; otherwise, N/A is displayed. Because of modifications
and updates, some versions of modules support only later software releases than
those indicated in the table.
