CAUTION
Using None means that any user with access to a
switch Console connection can change the switch
configuration.
Local Password
The user must enter a password that determines their individual
access rights. These passwords are configured in steps 2 and
3 of this procedure. These passwords must be from 1 to 15
characters in length.
RADIUS Authentication
A RADIUS server on the local area network authenticates
the user. For information about configuring the parameters
for RADIUS server authentication, see

If you selected the Local Password option in step 1, specify a
password to grant read-only access to the switch in the Read-Only
Console Password field.
If you selected the Local Password option in step 1, specify a
password to grant read/write access to the switch in the Read/Write
Console Password field.
Note: A value of None or RADIUS Authentication in the
Console Switch Password Type list always overrides the
values in the Read-Only Console Password and Read/Write
Console Password fields.
Click Submit.
