Description
a)
A time code or user bit preset operation
was attempted with extended menu item
258 "LIVE LOGGING" set to "on."
A time code or user bits preset
command was received with the F-RUN/
R-RUN switch is set to R-RUN.
A time code or user bits preset
command was received with recording
paused.
A command to switch video or audio
signals was received during recording.
A command to switch audio channels
was received during recording.
Description
a)
Normal recording is not possible
because of a disc defect.
A 525 system SDI signal was input with
this unit in 625 line mode (PAL system)
and with "SDI" selected with the VIDEO
INPUT SEL button.
A 625 system SDI signal was input with
this unit in 525(U) or 525(J) line mode
(NTSC system) and with "SDI" selected
with the VIDEO INPUT SEL button.
An editing operation was attempted on a
recorded disc, when one of the following
audio settings differed from the settings
of this unit.
• Number of quantizing bits and
recording channels
• Handling of digital audio signals (audio
or non-audio)
The playback system and recording
system are not synchronized.
A sync error between encoder and input
signal occurred during recording.
An audio/video phase error occurred
during playback.
A memory write error occurred.
Playback data in memory was lost, and
playback stopped.
Action
Set extended menu item 258 "LIVE
LOGGING" to "off" before performing the
operation.
See 7-3-2 "Extended Menu Operations"
(page 108) about how to make this setting.
Try the operation again after setting the F-
RUN/R-RUN switch to F-RUN.

(page 108) about how to make this setting.
Try the operation again after stopping
recording.
Action
Use another disc.
You can check the state of a disc by
checking playback condition marks (see
page 36).
Input a 625 system SDI signal.
Input a 525 system SDI signal.
To edit this disc, change the following
settings.
• Maintenance menu item "AUDIO
CONFIG" — "DATA LENGTH"
• Maintenance menu item "AUDIO
CONFIG" — "NON-AUDIO INPUT"

(page 114) about how to make these
settings.
Input a reference video signal to the player
and recorder.
