Risk of injury from a bursting core temperature sensor
• The core temperature sensor can burst as the result of overheating of the
measuring tip.
• Never heat a core temperature sensor with a cigarette lighter or other heat
source.
A core temperature measurement is always possible, if the core temperature
sensor is inserted in the food being cooked. Also before or after a cooking pro-
cess or during a time-controlled cooking step.
Measuring the core temperature is recommended for all types of cooking to
achieve an optimal result.
