5.3.1 Types of Home Return
The home return is specified in the positioning parameter setting dialog box for each axis.

Operation and application
The leading edge of the first home
input is set as a home position
after the detection of the leading
edge of the near home input.
Even when the limit input turns
on, the motor rotation will be
automatically reversed and the
home return operation will
continue.
This method is used when the
home switch exists in the range
that the near home switch is
enabled, such as a system using a
servo motor. This method can also
be used when no home switch
exists in the range that the near
home switch is enabled.
The leading edge of a near home
input is detected and it is set as a
home position.
Even when the limit input turns
on, the motor rotation will be
automatically reversed and the
home return operation will
continue.
This method is used for
performing the home return with
the near home switch only.
The leading edge of the first home
input in the home return direction
set as a home position after the
detection of a trailing edge (back
end) of the near home input.
Even when the limit input turns
on, the motor rotation will be
automatically reversed and the
home return operation will
continue.
This method is used when no
home switch exists in the range
that the near home switch is
enabled.
