Possible cause/consequence
You have depressed the accelerator
pedal, Distronic Plus* is no longer
controlling the speed of the vehicle.
You have attempted to activate
Distronic Plus* at a speed below
30 km/h without the vehicle in front
being displayed in the multi-function
display ( page 315).
ESP ® is deactivated.
Transmission position P, R or N has
been selected.
The vehicle is secured with the elec-
tric parking brake.
The driver's door and/or the bonnet
is open.
Speedtronic and Distronic* are faulty.
Speedtronic and Distronic Plus* are
faulty.
You have attempted to move the
transmission selector lever to P even
though the vehicle is still moving.
Possible solution
Release the accelerator pedal.
Drive faster than 30 km/h and activate
Distronic Plus again.
Activate ESP ® .
Move the transmission selector lever to
D.
Release the electric parking brake.
Close the driver's door and/or the bon-
net.
Have Speedtronic and Distronic*
checked at a qualified specialist work-
shop.
Have Speedtronic or Distronic Plus*
checked at a qualified specialist work-
shop.
Stop the vehicle.
