Display with Distronic Plus deactivated
Select the "Distance display" function
using the instrument cluster operating
system ( page 245).
If Distronic Plus is deactivated, you will see
the following display in the multi-function
display.

3 Actual distance to the vehicle in front
4 Specified minimum distance to the ve-
hicle in front
5 Own vehicle

Deactivating Distronic Plus
There are various ways of deactivating Dis-
tronic Plus:
Pull the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 3.
or
Brake, unless the vehicle is stationary.
or
Push the cruise control lever in the di-
rection of arrow 5.
Distronic Plus is deactivated. The LIM
indicator lamp in the cruise control le-
ver is lit.
The last speed stored remains stored until
you switch off the engine.

Do not deactivate Distronic Plus if you accel-
erate. As soon as you release the accelerator
pedal, Distronic Plus adjusts the vehicle's speed
to the last speed stored.
Distronic Plus is deactivated automatically
when:
you apply the electric parking brake or
the vehicle is automatically secured
with the electrically parking brake
there is no longer a vehicle travelling in
front below 25 km/h or the vehicle in
front is no longer detected
ESP ® ( page 55) intervenes or you de-
activate ESP ®
you shift the automatic transmission to
N, P or R
If Distronic Plus is deactivated, you will
hear a signal. The "DISTRONIC PLUS off"
message is displayed in the multi-function
display for approximately five seconds.
If the vehicle has been held by Distronic
Plus and a malfunction occurs in the sys-
tem, the "Brake immediately" message ap-
pears in the multi-function display.
Depress the brake pedal immediately so
that the vehicle does not roll away. Dis-
tronic Plus is then deactivated and the
message goes out.
