Replacement of faulty items

Modules may only be replaced by properly trained personnel
authorized to do so. Strictly observe the safety instructions at the
beginning of this section.
Modules may not be withdrawn or inserted while the equipment is in
operation. Switch off the power supply and disconnect external cables
first.
As stated earlier, replacement of faulty items can be done only at
module level and not component level since surface mount technology
is used for components of most of the modules. While replacing a
faulty module with a new module, ensure that the fault is not due to
some incorrect external wiring or mode of operation. Else even the
new module will go faulty. Remember to program correct jumpers /
strapping on the new module before replacement.

lost when the associated test configuration timer runs out.
Store the configuration to EPROM, stopping the test
configuration timer,
overwriting the test configuration timer.
