1 SNMP Configuration

1.6.3 Configuring a Basic ACL

This part describes how to configure ACLs to enable a specific NMS to access the device.
Context
Do as follows on the switch enabled with the SNMP agent.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
acl acl-number
A basic ACL is created.
Step 3 Run:
rule [ rule-id ] { deny | permit } [ fragment |
wildcard | any } | time-range time-name ]
ACL rules are defined.

1.6.4 Applying the ACL

This part describes how to configure ACLs to enable a specific NM Station to access the device.
Context
Do as follows on the switch enabled with the SNMP agent.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
snmp-agent community { read | write } community-name acl acl-number
The ACL is applied.

1.6.5 Checking the Configuration

After community-name-based access control in SNMPv2c is configured, you can view
configurations of SNMP and ACLs.
Prerequisite
The configurations of the Community-Name-based Access Control in SNMPv2c are complete.
