1.3.3 Configuring the SNMP Version

By default, the NM Station accesses the device through SNMPv3. To enable the NM Station to
access the device through SNMPv1, you need to configure SNMPv1 on the device.
Context
Do as follows on the switch enabled with the SNMP agent.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
snmp-agent sys-info version v1
The SNMP version is configured.
By default, only SNMPv3 is configured.

1.3.4 Setting the SNMP Community Name

This part describes how to implement access right control by setting the SNMP community
name.
Context
Do as follows on the switch enabled with the SNMP agent.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
snmp-agent community { read | write } community-name
The community name of the agent is configured.

1.3.5 Checking the Configuration

After SNMPv1 is configured, you can check SNMP configurations.
Prerequisite
The configurations of the Basic Functions of SNMPv1 are complete.
