Cabling the Line Cards
Configuring the Byte-gap
To change the gap spacing of the data bytes within the output transport, use the following command:
Router(config-if)# cable byte-gap gap num
Where gap num is the number of NULL (ASI transport NULL) bytes between data bytes. This could be
1, 2 or 4. The default gap value is 1.
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Router(config)# interface asi 3/15
Router(config-if)# cable byte-gap 2
Retrieving ASI Statistics
To display interface statistics for the ASI port:
Router# show interface asi slot_num/15
Example:
Router# show interface asi 3/15
