no neighbor { ip-address | ipv6-address [ interface vlan vlan-id ] | autodetect
interface interface-id }} update-source
ip-address—The neighbor's IPv4 address. This is the IP address of the
neighbor on the connected link.
ipv6-address—The neighbor's IPv6 address. If the neighbor's IPv6 address
is a link local address, the local interface must also be specified.
interface vlan vlan-id—The local interface/VLAN ID over which the IPv6
neighbor can be reached. Range: 1-4093.
autodetect interface interface-id—(Optional) The routing interface on
which the neighbor's link local IPv6 address is auto detected. The
interface-id must be a VLAN routing interface. Range is 1–4093.
update-source interface – Use the primary IPv4 address on the specified
interface as the source IP address for the TCP connection with the
neighbor.
Default Configuration
When no update source is configured, the BGP TCP connections use the
primary IPv4 address on the outgoing interface to the neighbor.
Command Mode
BGP Router Configuration mode, IPv4 Address Family Configuration mode
User Guidelines
The IP address used as the source address in IP packets sent to a neighbor
must be the same address used to configure the local system as a neighbor on
the peer BGP router. In other words, if the update source is configured, it
must be the same IP address used in the neighbor remote-as command on
the peer.
