11. Pull the SCSI backplane up and out of the system chassis.
12. Insert the replacement SCSI backplane into the system chassis. The tabs on
the backplane bracket insert into the slots in the chassis.
13. Install the two thumbscrews removed in Step 10 to secure the SCSI
backplane to the system chassis.
14. Connect cables removed in Step 9 to the SCSI backplane.
15. Slide the CDROM drive and floppy diskette drive into the chassis and
connect the power and signal cables.
16. If your system includes an optional 5.25-inch removable media device, slide
the device into the chassis and connect the device's power and signal cables.
17. Install all hard disk drive carriers into the system following procedures
found in the Hard Disk Drives section of this chapter.
18. Replace the top cover.
Your system weighs approximately 65 pounds (29.25 kg). If
your system contains numerous optional boards and
peripheral devices, it will weigh more. To avoid personal
injury, make sure you have someone help you lift or move
the system.
