New features in the Avaya CS7000 Conferencing Server

Avaya has added a new feature to the Avaya Demand Pin Master to ensure that users do
not needlessly waste resources. In this release, you can configure demand conferences to
close if only a single conferee remains for a specified period of time. For more information,
see the EmptyAtOneSecs parameter in
page 251.
Avaya has reinstated an obsolete parameter, called DialTimeoutSecs.
DialTimeoutSecs ensures that if users do not answer crisis or mangement alert calls,
the system disconnects these calls. For more information, see
Demand PIN Master
Avaya has merged the standard Demand PIN Master with the Alerts Demand PIN Master.
Previously, Avaya distributed the two versions of the Demand PIN Master. In this release,
the standard Demand PIN Master contains all the alerts functionality. All customers must
now install a Customer.dll file. Customer.dll provides external caller line identification (CLI)
of the alert initiator. External CLI means that if the alert initiator calls from a telephone
number listed in a linked database, the system retains their details. These details can be
name and location. You must install Customer.dll even if you do not intend to use the CLI
feature. You can switch off the CLI feature if you disable CustomerDataSource.
CustomerDataSource is a new setting in the Demand PIN Master. The CLI feature only
operates for crisis and volunteer alerts. For more information, see
Demand PIN Master
You can now make changes to the IPDDI.fil file and upload these changes to the
conferencing server, in realtime. The IPDDI contains the mappings between SIP or IP
addresses and DDIs. The IPDDI file ensures a transparent user experience, whether the
caller is calling using VoIP or more traditional telephone technologies. In previous versions
of the conferencing server, you could not make changes to the IPDDI.fil in realtime. For
more information, see
