About this task
Start the Avaya HMS 400 server.
Important:
The HMS 400 cannot answer calls until the HMS400R3 window shows that channels are
ready. When Channels appear in the HMS400R3 window, the HMS 400 is ready to accept
calls.
Prerequisites:
• For more information, see Avaya Hospitality Messaging Server 400 Fundamentals,
NN42350-104.
Procedure
1. Ensure the HMS 400 server is properly connected to a power source.
2. Push the power button on the front panel of the server.
3. After Windows 2008 Server starts, the HMS 400 application automatically loads.
4. Wait approximately 5 minutes for HMS 400 to become fully operational. The Dialogic
Avaya Hospitality Messaging Server 400 Installation and Commissioning
Windows 2008 Server automatically loads.
Services must start before the HMS400R3 application starts.
