Printing on Both Sides of Paper (Manual Duplex)

You can print on both sides of paper by using the paper cassette, or option
paper feeder if installed.
When you choose the Print Instructions check box in the Layout tab, either
of the following instruction sheets will be printed out at the start of the
duplex printing to help you to complete the print job.
Although the Print Instructions check box is selected by default, we
recommend to keep this box on until you get used to the duplex print
operation. The instruction sheet to be printed will vary depending on the
binding options you have selected; Flip on Long Edge or Flip on Short
Edge.
You can use long-edge or short-edge binding combined with either
landscape or portrait printing. Use Orientation options on the Media tab to
select the page orientation as follows.
These are: (1) portrait, long-edge, (2) portrait, short-edge, (3) landscape,
long-edge, and (4) landscape, short-edge. The figure below shows these
binding setups.
