WINDSHIELD/REAR WINDOW WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM

Condition
Windshield Wipers Do Not
Work At Any Speed
Wipers Do Not Work On High
Speed, Low Speed OK
Wipers Do Not Work On Low
Speed, High Speed OK

Probable Cause
D The open or a short in the power
supply circuit to the fuse F8.
D Fuse F8 is blown.
D Faulty wiper/washer switch.
D The circuit between the
wiper/washer switch connector
and the wiper relay is open or
short.
D The circuit between the fuse F8
and the wiper relay is open or
short.
D Faulty wiper relay.
D The circuit between the wiper
relay and the ground G201 is the
open circuit or a short circuit.
D The circuit between the
wiper/washer switch and the wiper
motor is the open circuit or a short
circuit.
D The circuit between the fuse F8
and the wiper motor is the open
circuit or a short circuit.
D The circuit between the wiper
relay and the wiper motor is the
open circuit or a short circuit.
D Faulty wiper motor.
D The connection of the wiper
linkage and the wiper motor is
poor.
D Wiper linkage is out of order.
D Faulty wiper/washer switch.
D The
circuit between
wiper/washer switch and the wiper
motor is the open circuit or a short
circuit.
D Faulty wiper motor.
D Faulty wiper/washer switch.
D The
circuit between
wiper/washer switch and the wiper
motor is the open circuit or a short
circuit.

Correction
D Repair or replace the open a short
in the power supply circuit to the
fuse F8.
D Replace the fuse F8.
D Replace the wiper/washer switch.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
harness.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
harness.
D Replace the wiper relay.
D Repair or Replace the open circuit
or a short circuit between the
wiper relay and the ground G201.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
harness.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
harness.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
harness.
D Replace the wiper motor.
D Tighten completely the nut.
D Tighten completely the ball.
D Replace the wiper linkage.
D Replace the wiper/washer switch.
D Repair or Replace the wiring
