23.10.4 RS-232 CHANNEL
The RS-232 outputs conform to EIA Standard RS-232C with an output voltage swing of at least ±5 V
when driving a standard RS-232 load.
RS-232 TX 1 is always configured to provide Garmin ADS-B+ data (at 9600 baud), to be used by a Mode
S Extended Squitter (ES) transponder such as the GTX 23ES or GTX 330ES.
RS-232 TX 2 is always configured to provide NMEA out at 9600 baud, 1 start bit, 1 stop bit, 8 data bits,
and no parity. The supported NMEA sentences are GPRMC, GPGGA, GPGSA, GPGSV, GPVTG, and
PGRMT.
