GAD 27 POWER IN (+14V only) is the GAD 27 unit power input and is internally diode OR'd with the
Keep Alive bus (TB273) to provide power redundancy.

CAN Bus
The CAN Bus conforms to the BOSCH standard for Controller Area Network 2.0-B, and complies with
ISO 11898. Pin 3 is used to terminate the CAN bus (only if a CAN termination adapter is not used as
shown in
Section
2.3.1.3.3). To terminate the CAN bus at the GAD 27 short the pins (2 and 3) together.

is used for communications between G3X LRUs.

Discrete Inputs
The GAD 27 has 9 discrete inputs that can be configured as Active Low or Active High. The GAD 27
discrete inputs conform to the following specification:
Low: Vin < 3.5 VDC, or Rin < 375 Ω
High: Vin > 8 VDC, or Rin > 100k Ω
Note that a floating (disconnected) input on Discrete Inputs 1-7 will be treated as Low, while a floating
input on Discrete Inputs 8-9 will be treated as High.
