21.2.2 Other Piston Engine Applications
In addition to the engines supported by Garmin sensor kits (see
engine/airframe inputs can be configured for use with a variety of other engine types.
Rotax 912iS Sensors - The G3X system is capable of monitoring the following engine parameters from
the Rotax 912iS FADEC digital interface, when connected via a GEA 24:
• RPM
• Manifold pressure
• Oil pressure
• Oil temperature
• Exhaust gas temperature
• Coolant temperature
• Fuel flow
• ECU bus voltage
See Figure 29-2.2 for GEA 24 to Rotax 912iS FADEC wiring information.
Use UMA N1EU70D differential sensor for fuel pressure, see
Lycoming iE2 Sensors - The G3X system is capable of monitoring the following engine parameters from
the Lycoming iE2 FADEC digital interface, when connected via a GEA 24:
• RPM
• Manifold pressure
• Oil pressure
• Oil temperature
• Exhaust gas temperature
• Cylinder head temperature
• Turbine inlet temperature
• Fuel pressure
• ECU bus voltage
