(6) Check for continuity between the turn signal
flasher signal circuit cavities for the turn signal
flasher and in the multi-function switch connector.
There should be continuity. I f OK, see the diagnosis
for the multi-function switch in this group. If not OK,
repair the open circuit as required.
HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM
For circuit descriptions and diagrams, refer to
8W-52 - Turn Signals in Group 8W - Wiring Dia
grams.
(1) Check the fuse in the Power Distribution Cen
ter (PDC). I f OK, go to Step 2. I f not OK, replace the
faulty fuse.
(2) Check for battery voltage at the fused B(+) cir
cuit cavity for the hazard warning flasher. I f OK, go
to Step 3. I f not OK, repair the open circuit as
required.
(3) Replace the hazard flasher with a known good
unit of the same rating. With the hazard warning
switch in the On position, the lamps should flash. I f
OK, discard the faulty flasher. I f not OK, re-install
the original flasher and go to Step 4.

and in the multi-function switch connector. There
should be continuity. I f OK, see the diagnosis for the

MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH
Perform the diagnosis of the hazard warning
and/or turn signal systems as described in this group
before testing the multi-function switch. For circuit
descriptions and diagrams, see 8W-52 - Turn Signals
in Group 8W - Wiring Diagrams.
