3.2 ERROR MESSAGES

3.2.1 OVERVIEW

Error messages will be displayed on the LCD panel if the machine has a problem. These can be
viewed by a customer.

3.2.2 ERROR MESSAGES LIST

Message
Cover open The front cover is open.
Controller FW
Controller FW could not be
download failed
downloaded.
Incor Prt Cart Irregular toner is set.
Internal Misfeed There is a paper jam in the
fusing unit.
Load Paper #
The indicated tray # (1, 2,
bypass) is out of paper.
Memory This error occurs when FW
Overflow memory is not enough to save
the printing page.
Misfeed: Tray 1 Paper has been jammed in
the tray 1 paper input area.
Misfeed: Tray 2 Paper has been jammed in
the tray 2 paper input area.
Misfd: There is a paper jam in
BypssTray Bypass tray.
Misfd: Dupl Unit There is a paper jam in the
duplex unit.
M116/M117
Causes
Open and then close the front cover.
Turn off the main power, turn it back
on, and then download the controller
FW again.
Replace the toner to appropriate one.
Remove the jammed paper.

Load paper into the indicated paper
tray.

Reduce the size of the data, and then
try the operation again.
Remove the jammed paper.
