8A.7 PROCEDURES
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Based upon the active flight plan or Direct-to
destination, the Procedures Page provides direct access to
approaches, departures and arrivals. In either case, the
departure and destination airports must have associated
published procedures. The Procedures Page is displayed
by pressing the PROC key.

1-1-20 of the Aeronautical Information Manual
(AIM) regarding the use of GPS.

To select a departure:
1.
Press the PROC key to display the Procedures
Page. Turn the large FMS knob to highlight
'Select Departure' and press the ENT key.
2.
The 'Departure Loading' page is displayed with
the list of departure options for the departure
airport. Turn either the small or large FMS
knobs to enter the desired departure. Press
the ENT key.
3.
'Load?' is highlighted. Press the ENT key. The
departure becomes part of the flight plan.
To select an arrival:
Press the PROC key to display the Procedures

Page. Turn the large FMS knob to highlight
'Select Arrival' and press the ENT key.
2.
The procedures page is displayed. Turn the
small and large FMS knobs to enter the desired
arrival.
3.
The cursor moves to the 'TRANSITION' field.
Turn the large FMS knob to highlight the
desired transition waypoint and press the ENT
key. The approach vectors option assumes you
will receive vectors to the final course segment
of the approach and will provide naviga-
tion guidance relative to the final approach
course.
NOTE: Vector departures are not part of the
avation database.
