Load an Arrival
'Load Arrival' allows a published standard terminal
arrival route (STAR) for the destination airport to be
loaded into a flight plan. It also replaces the current arrival
with a new selection. An arrival can also be loaded using
the PROC key or by pressing the LD STAR softkey.
To select an arrival for a Direct-to or flight
plan destination airport:
1.
From the Active Flight Plan Page, press the
MENU key to display the Active Flight Plan Page
options.
2.
Highlight the 'Load Arrival' option and press
the ENT key.
3.
A window is displayed listing the available
arrivals for the destination airport. Turn either
the small or large FMS knob to select the
desired arrival and press the ENT key.
4.
A second window is displayed listing available
transitions for the arrival.Turn either the small
or large FMS knob to highlight the desired
transition waypoint and press the ENT key.
5.
A third window is displayed listing available
arrival runways. Turn either the small or large
FMS knob to highlight the desired runway and
press the ENT key.
With 'LOAD' highlighted, press the ENT key.
6.
The arrival flight plan is displayed as part of
the overall flight plan and is placed after the
enroute flight plan.
