Removing Shipping Materials

The copier/fax has been packed with protective material to protect it during shipping.
Remove this material as follows and keep it in case you need to transport the unit in
the future:
1 Remove the
shipping tapes
from the multi-
purpose tray.
3 Remove the shipping tapes and
protective sheet from the operation panel.
4 Open the operation panel
partially by gently pulling it
toward you (it only opens
slightly). Then remove the
protective sheet from the ADF
(Automatic Document Feeder).
Close the operation panel by
pressing it down from the
center until it locks into place.

The actual shipping materials may differ in shape, quantity, and position from the ones
shown above.

2 Remove the
protective piece
from the multi-
purpose tray.
5 Open the ADF (Automatic Document
Feeder), then remove the shipping tape
from the side of the unit.
Close the ADF (Automatic Document
Feeder).
